Shed Light Events has been put on hold while we focus on building another great resource for singers, a digital magazine called iSing! We've just published the mag's first issue and would love it if you'd check it out in the App Store or in Google Play!
Register interest by emailing Shed Light Events for a possible November 20 workshop
The Performance Workshop is for singers of all levels who wish to work on gaining confidence, improve their performances or try out new ideas.
The workshop begins with a brief talk on a performance related topic such as stage fright, mic technique, delivering the story, connecting with the audience, coping when it all goes wrong etc. Then workshop singers perform to receive on the spot feedback for improvement. The teacher will either be Line Hilton or a guest who is industry recognised as a singer/performer/teacher.
Your performance will be recorded and written feedback provided. You can then go away and practice the suggested strategies and return the next month or any other month to see how you’ve progressed and to develop further. You can come as often or as little as you wish. Though obviously to make significant improvement the more you do this the better your performances will be!
Performance slots are limited per workshop but no limit to observe class only.
Performers: Bring one song to work on, I suggest it’s a song you are very familiar with so you can concentrate on performance skills not lyrics or melody. You must provide your own accompaniment or backing track. A sound system will be available (mic and PA). Your song and verbal feedback will be recorded onto CD
Fee: £15 for performers £10 for observers payable in advance.

Happy singing in the meantime!
